The next day we were looking for a place to eat and passed by Hooters. I made a comment that I’d never been there before so of course we had to go there!. First time at Hooters, first time gorging myself on Hooters wing and first time posing with a Hooters girl! Good stuff!
Naturally, you’re going to have some downtown during any visit. When I discovered the incredible story of the Keyboard Cat on YouTube – my life changed forever. You can see for yourself.
The Keyboard Cat got me warmed up for the massive sushi battle with Russell Yermal – one of the biggest men I’ve ever encountered! I dunno what I was thinking… even though it was all-you-can-eat sushi we had to finish whatever we ordered or we’d have to pay extra for it. We ended up force feeding each other. Which I’d consider a rather outrageous first – feeding a grown man.
To top it all off I’ve never had sushi before – I certainly got my fill! I did enjoy my first time eating eel as it was one of my favorites.
I’d also like to give a big big shout out to Lauren Huston – the Social Media Lifestylist. Lauren is pretty bad ass because she recognizes that social media is more than a marketing tool, or way of connection – it is a way of life! She definitely walks the talk! I posted a status update the other day lamenting the loss of my electronics. I’ve been on a real tear lately – phone, camera, iPod, router, blown graphics card – the list goes on. Lauren had an extra iPod and immediately sent it to me in the mail.
Pretty freakin’ cool right?! That’s why you should check Lauren out!
I have one announcement to make about the video I shot for Life in a Day back in July:
The video has made the top 100 hours of footage to be considered for the final cut of the movie. It beat out 80,000 other entries! If you haven’t seen the Journey to the Top of the World and the magnificent sunrise I captured – it’s rather incredible.
