Who is the most forgotten person on Valentine’s Day?
Valentine’s day does a fantastic job at challenging us to show our love and gratitude to those we care about most – our friends, family, significant others, even our pets. But one things it does not accomplish very well is remembering the one person who deserves it most!
That’s YOU! Yourself.
We can’t share the contents of our cup with another if there is nothing inside of it to share! The same is true with our love!
If we cannot love and appreciate ourselves wholly and fully, we will not be 100% capable of expressing our unconditional love for others.
What is one thing you notice about couples that are in healthy relationships that have lasted for decades? They are both confident and lead their own lives with passion. These individuals have a wealth of energy and love to share for their partners because their well is so full from a day’s work.
So, I know that Valentine’s Day is called a number of things including “Single’s Awareness Day,” but I think a better name would be “Self Love Day.”
That way, we can celebrate everyone’s inner strength, and honor the things within our spirit and personalities that allow us to experience a kind world.

In this dedication to Self-Worth, I’d like to ask you – what is ONE THING that you love about yourself? Not your life, not your situation – but ONE THING or one characteristic you love about YOU!
