Life in a Day Submission

In Search of Sunrises

On Saturday, July 24th I traveled to the Top of the World in search of an incredible sunrise. Well, I found it, and captured the whole thing on film as a 45 minute time lapse condensed down into about a minute and a half.

The reason for my journey was to capture footage for the Life in a Day project by director and producer Ridley Scott. The man has produced such films as Gladiator, Matchstick Men, Black Hawk Down, and much much more you can see at IMDB.

Essentially, Ridley is collecting recorded footage from hundreds of thousands of people worldwide to be shared at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011 for the video Life in a Day.

Below, you’ll find my submission to the video – note, I had to edit it to not include any music but you can find the very polished version with timed and edited music at http://AvramGonzales.com/TopofWorld

Big big shout out to my new friend Laura who I met at the top of the mountain (in the blue hat) who is a graphic designer and helped me edit the black dot off of the sun from the original footage! So yea, final product below for submission to Ridley, and you can head over to the Top of the World to behold one of the Universe’s most grand creations!

Its worth the trip over, some people have literally cried icon wink Life in a Day Submission In Search of Sunrises
