InspirACTION is BACK!
I know its been a minute since I’ve put together a video and thats because there have been some changes in the format as well as some bigger changes affecting the future of the show within my personal life.
At the end of this video, I ask for your assistance and input so hold tight throughout the episode.
- Honda Element Overnight (With Canopy Extension)
- Hiking Aspen Mountain
- Playing Disc Golf on the highest course in the nation (11,300 ft)
- New ‘Two-fer’ animation
- New format on InspirACTION
- Personal Training One on One
- Bonnie Brae Homemade Ice Cream
- Playing with a monster camera
- New job as a professional videographer
- 100 Comments on a video
- Raising money via social media to give to charity
Apparently I labeled two things with a #7 in the video. Oh well!
A lot of this footage comes from 2-3 weeks ago so next week the content will be more fresh.
I’ve camped overnight in the Honda Element before in episodes like the Journey to the Top of the World, but I’ve never slept in there with two people because typically its only big enough to fit me. Thanks to my mom’s genius birthday gift, I now have a canopy extension that fits over the back of the car extending it a few more feet. Rad.
Dustin and I thought about teaching you how to build a fire, but instead spent an hour and a half running around in the dark with a flashlight and flip flops desperately trying to find dry wood as our fire dwindled. It was a battle but we got it rolling. Another time for the lesson perhaps.
The next day we climbed Aspen Mountain because we were too cheap to pay $20 for the gondola. It took us nearly three hours to climb over 3,000 vertical feet where we finally arrived at the (worlds?) highest frisbee golf course. While it was one of the most amazing courses I’ve been too (the scenery was just breathtaking) it was also the most difficult! By the end of the 18 holes Dustin and I were EXHAUSTED! Luckily, the ride down was free
Additionally, I created the “two-fer” animation to signify those InspirACTIONs that go beyond the standard and are actually two new things rolled into one event.
The two-fer animation is not the only thing that’s changed. The format of InspirACTION has changed as well. Every week, there will be one episode featuring last week’s events. You’ll also likely see a trailer the day or a few days before I release the new episode.
As time wore on and I got better at video editing my standards rose and I eventually fell far behind on editing. I feel that this way, nobody will miss an episode and I can also create better videos by focusing my attention on one every week. Plus, I can reclaim my social life since I won’t be editing every day!
If you don’t want to miss an episode make sure you subscribe to my YouTube Channel and also become a “Liker” on the InspirACTION Fan Page. Those are the two places besides the blog where you’ll be able to find InspirACTION videos.
In the next activity I met with Jamie Atlas, a new friend of mine here in Denver thanks to Meghann Conter. Jamie is a personal trainer with oodles of experience and a fun and friendly personality. We hung out for a while, shot some videos for Jamie’s Fan Page Bonza Bodies and I got my first personal trainer one on one session. Cool! Now to find a masseuse!

The same week I decided it was time to get fat and visit Bonnie Brae Ice Cream – a place I’ve been driving by for years. Apparently they have excellent homemade ice cream. Every time I drive by the place is packed and the night I went was certainly no exception.
It was sooooo good!
That weekend I went to a buddies’ wedding and long story short – I ended up playing with a monster camera! The Sony HDR-FX1.
The really long story short? Now I’m a videographer capturing parties, weddings, and other events and editing them all together on Final Cut Pro. Another sweet upgrade and perk for the new gig! Thanks John!
Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for!
If you haven’t seen the Forgive Steve video yet, or pledged your forgiveness – you can still do that!

Essentially, Steve said some inappropriate things on Facebook and I decided we should all forgive him because we’ve been there. Steve said that once we reached 100 comments, he would donate $100 to the charity of my choice.
Between my original video on Facebook, the comments on YouTube and the comments my friends received from sharing the post we had well over 100 comments forgiving Steve!
This is where you come in! I need your help picking a charity to donate the money to!
In the comments below, tell me your favorite charity, and why you think I should donate the money to said charity!
Thanks for stopping by I hope you enjoy the new format and the adventures yet to come!
